It's a horrendous take. If Carter is some uber-talent, everyone who passed on him deserves criticism. The team that got something to pass on him obviously deserves less under any circumstance than the teams that let him fall for free.
If he's not an uber-talent (which, despite the revisionist history he ABSOLUTELY has been sold as for a year or more, thus all the "if he's Warren Sapp where's the production?" discussions), well then obviously the Bears passing, getting the guy they actually wanted, and getting a pick for the honor is an even better move.
No matter the scenario, every team in the top-9 passed on him. One of them got paid to do it. That team is the one being criticized. No way around that being stupid as fuck, sorry.
