I wonder - why did you even go to college? Clearly it was superfluous. Especially given that the end result was the financial suicide that resulted in your best bet being having to live in Sparks Nevada.
I sometimes wonder myself why I bothered to finish my degree, it isn't needed in sales that's for sure. I had an offer in 1999 to make like 50k starting without even an associates degree for some import/export company in the Chicago burbs... but I went back to UIUC instead... in hindsight I probably should have taken that since I didn't eclipse that income until about 8 years later after a lot of youthful energy wasted. Can always go back to school right?
And I live in a pretty expensive house in the best neighborhood in Reno, so yeah, life worked out just fine, but I'm pretty smart where most of your kids that are "getting denied to go to school because of "race"" are actually stupid, make poor life choices, and get bad grades and test scores. Those people
should be working menial low skilled jobs, not going to college and racking up a bunch of non-dischargable debt for a worthless degree that will not increase their job prospects.
I actually do know a lot of very wealthy people and strangely, most of them either didn't take college seriously or dropped out halfway through. The only ones that said it was useful were the ones that learned about computers in the 70's and 80's and got rich in silicon valley... shocker
