Omg no we don’t
You and your stupid broad brush
And the left does not actually "want" to let hardened criminals back out on the street. Yet effectively that is what is happening and the right wing exploits that for political gain.
Of course, you miss the point, and act just like the Marxists who say they don't really want this or that.
if treating people with mental health and behavioral problems like criminals is the net effect of right wing, law and order, tough on crime policies; then that is effectively what they want.
I was responding to a boilerplate article that blames Soros supported prosecutors for being soft on crime. I can turn Fox News on and hear that same story over and over about the repeat offender who was put back out on the street and committed a violent crime. Yes, that is a problem too.
There is a middle way. Treat hardened criminals like criminals and treat people with mental illnesses like people with illnesses. That means changing the way we do and fund certain things. 911 doesn't dispatch police to put out a fire. Why would they send them to handle a mental health crisis?
Why arrest people for being addicted to drugs?
