I think we lost Custard and many other right-wingers fifteen years ago when the Kremlin showed photos of Putin riding a horse bare-chested in the Siberian wilderness. Apparently just too much beefcake to resist Russia's delusions of grandeur that covets territory and endeavors to acquire it.

While this is pretty funny, it is actually the opposite. My opinion of Putin and the Russian military is so low that it’s pretty clear that even if he wanted to start putting the USSR back together (he doesn’t) he wouldn’t be able to. And the idiots that think he’s going to come after NATO countries? LOL

Regardless of his long term ambition, Putin is an international terrorist responsible for raping and pillaging throughout the war. Schools and hospitals bombed and political opponents murdered at his hands. How is it in our interest to kiss his ass? At some point, character matters.

So 85 years ago (well before Putin was even born) they had their eyes on them, and since then they’ve made zero attempts to invade or conquer them. What does Finland have that Russia wants that is worth starting WWIII? This is nonsense.

I don’t think it’s in our interest to kiss his ass. It’s in the interest of the global community, particularly those invested in this conflict, to end it. The economic sanctions on Russia did jack shit, we’ve poured hundreds of billions into defending Ukraine, and yet it persists. There has been all kinds of fuckery going on in Ukraine for a long time, and while they didn’t deserve to be invaded, it’s not this cut-and-dried scenario where they are this poor innocent little country just being picked on for no good reason. The West, by proxy, has poked the bear, time and time again for its own interests, then acts incredulous when the bear takes a swipe.
