Any statistics about crime rates for illegal immigrants, the employment capabilities of the illegal immigrants and the perceptions of illegal immigrants from before Biden took office can be tossed out the window.
This country did have some control over our borders, whether you like the immigration laws or not, for 150+ years. The Biden administration lost that control or gave up control.
The illegal immigration under Biden could be compared with previous decades if the same border policies were followed. They weren't.
We were told by the administration that the border was under control. It wasn't.
We were told incessantly that the illegal immigrants were seeking asylum and fleeing political upheaval or violence. Some were. Some weren't. That facade slowly drifted away when it was obvious that employment was also a huge driver. They're fleeing violence at home became who's going to pick the cabbage. The asylum argument was used in an effort to foster a degree of acceptance by the public. That argument died a couple of years ago.
Attempts to minimize the impacts of illegal immigration under Biden to legal immigration under previous Presidents is comparing night to day.
Countries are not "sending" their criminals to our borders is used as a diversionary argument from saying that criminals and terrorists from other countries are actually crossing our borders. We don't know who many are or where they are. Nor do we know where 350,000 kids are who have come across the border.
Countries don't have to "send" their criminals when their criminals can cross our borders willingly.
