Agree.  I love my guns, but something needs to change here.  18 year olds by and large aren't the most responsible, well-rounded people.  Some are, and there should be a better vetting process, and some additional differentiation between long guns with high capacity, etc.  I don't know the answers, but God damn, something needs to happen.  Shame, but appears in addition to this schools are going to need to be locked down, more security, etc.

when was the last time you bought a gun?

every single gun store has to call the NICS https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/nics to do a background check before selling someone a gun

if anything that service needs to keep up with mentally ill people in it, but the left keeps changing those definitions so yeah... good luck with that

How many "trannies" have been involved in shootings? Seems like the mass shootings are always the incels (aside from the gangbangers who are not getting their guns legally anyway).

I think the best opportunity to find legislative compromise is center around “red flag” laws.  Nineteen states and the District of Columbia have enacted some form of a red-flag law.

Looks like there’s some GOP Senate support too, including Rick Scott, Roy Blount, Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham and a few others.  The best way to get into the weeds on something like this is through a bipartisan working group, not from the committee process.

A national red flag law is not going to make a huge difference.  I think it should be part of a broader gun violence legislative package.  But in this age of gridlock, something is much better than nothing.
