Speaking of off putting arrogance, the Democrats are not my effing party.

There is actually no rational reason to support Trump. They are all deplorable or stupid.

My candidate was John Kasich.

I support free markets where free markets work and central planning where central planning works. In 2016 I voted for Kasich in the primary. I voted a mix of Republican, conservative, and libertarian in Election.

I actually tell it like it is.

I liked Kasich at first then it all turned into a circus. Ended up voting for Gary Johnson as an FU vote to both parties since my vote in Illinois was worthless anyways. Had the Rona in 20 and couldn’t go vote in person. Would have done the same that year.

I think it’s pretty messed up we are going into an election cycle with a senile geriatric vs Trump and all his ills, but here we are. Where’s the outrage for this conundrum? If this isn’t an indictment of our two party system and those that control it, what is?

What's started to happen is that Trump is such a dumpster fire, that people are pretty much terrified of what he might do should he regain office. Given that, you baby gets put into the corner where you put aside your numerous grievances with Biden for fear it might depress turnout and we end up with Plan 9 from Mar-A-Lago.

It's really depressing. The time honored art of bitching about all the decisions made by all politicians has been replaced by quiet terror

Trump is also pretty much a senile geriatric, FWIW.

Given that both candidates are very underwhelming, a reasoned consideration might be to vote based on who they ended up as Cabinet members, who are the people who do most of the heavy lifting. Say what you want about Mayor Pete, he's a reasonably talented flak. Trump had Mitch McConnell's wife Elaine Chou in the same role. And amazingly, she was one of the few members of his cabinet to last the entire tenure!

It’s a no-win situation. I’m afraid of what Trump will try and do, and also afraid of what those that oppose him will do if he were to somehow win. Also afraid of what those who oppose Biden will do if he wins.  I think everyone innately understands this, yet there’s basically no push for any other solution whatsoever.
