Tropics.

wow, didn't know so many of you had such exposure to Lincoln.

It's the Tropics, not open as far as I can tell, I just go past it on the way to Kickapoo. Walking at Kickapoo and the Starbucks are pretty much my entire Lincoln itinerary, maybe an occasional movie. Yes, I've been to Spirited Republic. Generally the groceries are already shopped for before we get there, and we just hunker down at my in-laws out in the boonies.

Back when I used the twotter, I live tweeted my struggle to get wine for Thanksgiving. I think I started at Kroger (RIP), went to WalMart, which actually had some wine in bottles instead of boxes. Then I realized I wasn't in Healdsburg (the Safeway in healdsburg could compete with a top shelf wine store in any major city) - and I should find a liquor store, duh. Think I ended up at "Famous Liquors", and after looking very puzzled at a bunch of Boone's Farm and Mad Dog, the cashier steered me to the "back room", where all the "really nice wine" is. Yeah - Barefoot and Yellowtail. Went back to Walmart. Not a wine drinker so no skin off my back, I had packed Pliny for the trip.

Two days later we met people out at Spirited and yeah, that's where I needed to go. But the last few trips I've been going to swim in Springfield and make a big run to Binny's.

huh

I may have walked past Murphstahoe at kickapoo multiple times

Hey jasn, ever go to Lawndale? I used to go there when I was underage and drink. They did not care, they just wanted to sell some beers.

Is the post office there still a mobile home?

Haha, wow. Amazing how things don't change. It's probably been 30 years since I've been to any of those places, lol

We never went to Atlanta, tho. Fuck that place. And McLean was a dry town.

This is a pretty wise policy. Lincoln is not for the faint of heart.

Reminds me of a weird Lincoln story. For some reason, I don't exactly remember (this day/night was pretty hazy), I was sitting in the back of a guy's pickup in the McDonald's parking lot. There was a cooler of beer, and we were drinking.

Cop pulls up. We're like oh shit. Caught. Dead to rights. No reason for us to be sitting in that pickup drinking in that parking lot. Oh, and I was like 19.

Cop gets out. Driver of the pickup gets out. I'm just sitting there. Driver talks to the cop. Cop walks over, says, what do we have here. I'm just sitting there, like fuck. Welp. What can I say.

Driver looks at cop and says, hey, can we take off? Cop says sure, be careful.

We left. That's it.

I was like, what in the actual fuck.
