TBH things are a little too quiet on any word on Illinois acquiring replacements front.
Not sure what to make of that. Of the three top guys being mentioned (Mennenga, Bailey, Robinson), you would think somebody might jump by now.
Maybe they see it as lateral move and debating whether worth the change.
It's not like they are in bad situations or non P5 jobs.
Maybe the Mitchell thing is slowing things down, but why would Frazier even be in conversation.
I kind of agree that Powell may be a pipe dream. He is no doubt highly ethical and Gonzaga easily sells itself without having to get into the muck like the second tier programs like us, or even as much as the other bluebloods.
It's kind of a unique easy cleaner recruiting gig. Huge name recognition, auto high seed in NCAA, easy conference to put up numbers, Few seems like genuine nice guy, and they put some guys in NBA here and there.
I wonder if we are scrambling a bit here.
