Too many blowouts. Let’s scrap the playoff system and vote for the champion. But…have the national championship team play itself! 1st string offense plays 2nd string defense and 1st string defense plays 2nd string offense. Everyone gets participation trophies at the end since they are all champions!

Most importantly, no blowouts!

I will admit, it’s tough to invite teams like IU and SMU when Alabama is sitting at home. But there has to be some reward (and punishment) for the regular season.

But my viewpoint is, if you aren’t solidly in the top 12, quit yer bitchin’ and take care of your business. You had your chance.

Nothing like a team up 28 zip at the half to keep football fans glued to their tv

The system needs tweaking, but it’s headed in the right direction.

How do you know that after 2.667 games?

Basically showing there's limited reason to ever have a 12-team playoff IMO.

Disagree. They seeded poorly. Blowouts are part of the very fabric of college football. 19 of the 30 4 team playoff games were two score + games. This format will even the playing field over time and give programs like Illinois, Indiana, Colorado something to play for. It needs tweaking, but 12 teams is perfect IMO.

Boise and ASU should not have byes. Boise/Indiana, SMU/Tennessee, ND/Clemson, would have been much better matchups. Next year they need to seed according to ranking, not conference championships. Oregon’s reward for being the 1 seed? Ohio State! Should not have happened this way.

Mostly agree with this except conference titles certainly make regular season games more interesting.  It was the most entertaining regular season that I recall.
