Lol you’re not going to eliminate blowouts no matter what you do. The last 6 national title games were blowouts. Including a 65-7 thriller just two years ago. You want to go back to voting for the champion? There’s nothing wrong with 12 teams. It gives more teams a chance to get in and that’s ultimately better for the sport. And better for teams like Illinois because PT and NIL can actually help level the playing field a bit.
Last night's game was a lousy game and the 1st 2 games today have a good chance of being the same.
None of it changes that I would have preferred a Hoosier win and won't be rooting for SMU or Clemson.

Again, a lot of the playoff games have been lousy for years. Often even in the marquee matchups. Accept the gift that programs like Illinois has been given. They actually have a chance to be semi-relevant.

You mean you and 10,000,000 others. This is from my best friend who has a son who’s a freshman at IU.

You may have a text image from one of the few who thought IU might win. That's a plus.

I thought IU could win. They kinda got hosed having to go to South Bend. Their only loss was at tOSU. The domers lost at home to a bad NIU team.

I figured if they could lose to NIU they could lose to a decent team. Sounds like they are playing better than they did earlier in the year. I wouldn’t know, I don’t like watching Notre Dame. I tuned in when I heard NIU was giving them a game because I was hoping for the upset. I root for everyone over Notre Dame. I hate Alabama and I rooted for them big time in the title game years back.

I assume you're not the one who said IU might win. 😁

I thought they had a chance. If NIU can win there, why not Indiana?

Games early in the season aren't necessarily an indicator of late season play.
ND may have been a little full of themselves after winning their opener at TAM. They got a little humility after NIU and didn't have much trouble after that.
The Hosers got whupped by a good tOSU defense. There was no reason not to expect the same vs a good ND defense.

Cold with up to 20 mph winds at Happy Valley.
The lions should be ok. Warm up the horses.

Normally every year, bowl games are an after thought, this year the after thought is....when do the ILLINI play again. Good for the team and Coach B.
