They seem like they're doing alright.

They're also recruiting at least three kids to come/stay here right now.

Who knows?  Maybe the price was too high for how good we thought he was?  Maybe we literally couldn't match it?  Maybe we wanted to save money for Coleman and Shannon?  Maybe he hates Underwood?  Who knows?  We can speculate all day but nobody knows the answer.

There were 4 transfers per college basketball program last offseason.  That's a hell of a lot of bad bosses - like, almost every one of them.

I have no idea if they paid more.  Not a clue, and neither do you.  There are at least a million reasons he could have for not coming to Illinois.
