“Excited?” I merely mentioned that the GOAT had a lot of praise for the way Flus and the Bears were building things.

You were excited

Their backup having one of the highest YPC averages in the league probably played into that I'd think.

Whatever you say, buckaroo.

You still are excited. Obviously.

DeAndre Hopkins available. If it were not the for the fact he has a crummy QB in AZ, I would think he was over the hill. Tempo? Any thoughts?

Too old. Too expensive. No thanks.

Mike Evans, I’d eagerly sit down and talk about if I were Poles. I’d even bring up the fact that Belichick spoke to Flus.

Why Evans but not Hopkins? Isn't Hopkins but 1 year older?

You once praised the Oklahoma quarterbacks (all of them) to support your point not long ago.

Holy crap. The sad part is you actually believe this. Perfect example of your strawman construction excellence.

Man, if the Bears had just drafted 5 or 6 Oklahoma quarterbacks in the 1st round the last 30 years things would have been soooo much different.

No, it would not have. They were all systems guys.

Question for ThePAMan:

Let’s say Justin Fields has a terrible year and the Bears have the first pick in next years’ draft. Would you take a pass on Caleb Williams because Sam Darnold, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Cody Kessler, Matt Barkley, Rodney Peete, Sean Salisbury, Vince Evans and Todd Marinovich all sucked?

The difference is the different coaching staffs at USC which now has Lincoln Riley. A smarter question would have been using Riley's OK QBs as comps. But yes, given Riley as a common denominator of sorts, there should be pause for concern.

OSU has been consistent in the offense it has used since Urban. Ergo the problem with OSU QBs over time.

Yes. Lincoln Riley has a long history of developing successful NFL QBs.

List:

Jalen Hurts (1 year), who kind of sucked his first two years in the NFL.

Which is the point if you were not so blind.

Baker and Murray his guys too. Hurts was there a year?

Impressive research skills. I think you finally won a point. Congrats, it’s been a while.

But I’m pretty sure you pointed at Oklahoma and Riley as a successful quarterback Factory. Wouldn’t doubt you made both points there. You sometimes argue both sides hoping you won’t get called on it.
