Because there are some things that have been consistent over the past decade, no?

You talking about tOSU quarterbacks again? Each player is different. I’m going to evaluate CJ Stroud on his own merits. Not JT Barrett’s or Dwayne Hawkins’.

Question for ThePAMan:

Let’s say Justin Fields has a terrible year and the Bears have the first pick in next years’ draft. Would you take a pass on Caleb Williams because Sam Darnold, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Cody Kessler, Matt Barkley, Rodney Peete, Sean Salisbury, Vince Evans and Todd Marinovich all sucked?

The difference is the different coaching staffs at USC which now has Lincoln Riley. A smarter question would have been using Riley's OK QBs as comps. But yes, given Riley as a common denominator of sorts, there should be pause for concern.

OSU has been consistent in the offense it has used since Urban. Ergo the problem with OSU QBs over time.

I have to say, the level of fan analysis going on in this forum is absolutely first rate. You’ve got PAMan and Dumbfucknic who are absolutely convinced Justin Fields is the reason the Bears have sucked the last two years. Mn, who’s admitted he’d have rather won a couple of more games and been drafting 10th; and Custard who is absolutely sure that the Bears are hopeless as long as the McCaskeys are around. Love this place.

It makes the Chicago Bears message board forum circa 2003-04 (the dumbest message board I’ve ever posted on) look like a bunch of Mensas rooted in reality.

To quote the Beatles, "I've got a feeling, a feeling deep inside oh yeah (oh yeah)! Im thinking Poles shocks everyone and drafts Bijan Robinson.

This would be hilarious, no?

I think I have since lost that feeling though, my guess would be Poles drafts defensive line first pick

My heart says Robinson, but if forced to lay $100 on it, I’d say DL is a slight favorite, OT and CB about equal second choices. Then RB and WR.

Yes. Lincoln Riley has a long history of developing successful NFL QBs.

List:

Jalen Hurts (1 year), who kind of sucked his first two years in the NFL.

Which is the point if you were not so blind.

You lost the feeling after getting piled on here.

Or was there an intervening Parkins tweet?

Well constructed strawmen here.

The Bears sucked regardless of JFC. JFC being a terrible passing QB did not help.
