its all about the ratings

Yeah and I think that’s a shitty way to decide who’s better. It’s all politics. Terrible system in college football. Probably the worst in all of sports.

I know Notre Dame historically commands a huge viewing audience but even if I were a Domer fan why would I want to witness the inevitable outcome of this contest? This was like when Eric Crouch and Nebraska got trashed by Colorado in 2001 but still made the title game only to get completely humiliated by Miami. How is this good for college football in any way?

I would have been ok with Bama-OK, but they had 2 early losses. Bama-ND was going to be better ratings than Bama-OK. TAMU probably wasn't a consideration.

Regardless of that game-winning FG by Georgia, Cincinnati should’ve had a shot in CFP ahead of ND. Being undefeated is the best you can do and if O$U got the shot, so should Cincinnati. I hate the politics of college football. It needs to have a playoff, plain and simple. Just like the NFL. It makes absolutely no sense to pick and choose who goes to what bowl. Let it be decided on the field.

I thought NU looked better than either today.

The saddest part of today is that Fitzee is a better coach than the rest of the clowns in the final four

9 observations from the tOSU game:

—tOSU absolutely worked Clemson in every aspect.

—Notre Dame is in Purgatory

—Don’t care enough to post any more observations

The other 6 observations were probably TD passes by Justin Fields.

tOSU completely dismantled Clemson. Hard to believe, but they played a great game.

Bama toyed with ND. Bama's weakness on D 🤣🤣 wasn't apparent vs a decent ND offense and ND's strength on D was no match for Bama and their 3 of the top 5 vote getters on offense.
Brian Kelly said. “We battled. I thought we did some of the things that we wanted to today but we simply didn’t make enough plays.” The BK translator for 'we battled em toe to toe at the coin flip, but that was about it for the day'.

Trevor Lawrence and Etienne leave Clemson, and the ACC could have trouble justifying a BCS bid next year. The ACC is 0-3 with 2 more possible losses on tap for today.

The AAC gets knocked down a peg and is sitting at 1-4 with their lone win by Memphis over FAU. That won't help conference hopes for a BCS bid next year. Sorry Cincy.

As I said yesterday, I would have been ok with OK getting ND's bid and the Big12 is at 4-0 with a chance to go 5-0.

The Big10 ? 3-0 with a chance to go 4-0 and I'm guessing xxxx would have handled Missou if their game hadn't been covided. Auburn isnt the team they've had in some years and they fired Malzahn, but NU played well.
The best quote so far ? Mertz dropped the Dukes Mayo trophy and it shattered when it hit the floor. “We just wanted everybody to have a piece of that trophy,” was Chryst's response.

Here's hoping tOSU plays as well vs Bama.

Disclaimer: the season and bowl games get asterisks.
