That is down to about 363 thousand. Of those, 6000 are late term. Compared to 3.65 million live births. I can't find a current number on miscarriages or total pregnancies. Estimated 10 to 15% of total pregnancies end in miscarriage. About 20 thousand to term end in still births.

The big Republican talking point is Democrats want to allow abortion at will right up to the moment of birth. It just does not happen.

But Alito's opinion includes a footnote saying that Abortion is screwing up the supply chain of adoptable infants. Of course, adopted infants can't be breast fed by their mother. Especially if they are adopted by a same sex couple, of course the GOP doesn't want the gay peoples to be adopting kids, I guess because that's also screwing up the supply chain of adoptable infants.
