Mueller's FBI considered Steele's source a national security interest starting in 2009 and a FISA request was initiated in 2010. Danchenko apparently left the country the following month.
The Crossfire Hurricane team apparently knew this in 2016.
Oh well. Probably wasn't in the purview.

I don't get it. It appears a spy reported information provided by another spy whom we wanted to spy on. What is the issue?

I'm not sure that's how I would describe using Russian disinformation from a Russian spy obtained thru a foreign individual and funded thru the political opposition.
