Newsflash: Presidential elections are not popularity contests. You don't have to be "likeable" to win. Your job is to make your opponent less likeable.
I think they mean different things to different people. Sometimes people are voting
for something, like Obama and the Change message in 2008. This year Trump’s resounding win is mainly a result of a lot of people voting
against the broader current state of Democrat Party branding, politics, and culture.
