Was in Des Moines for a hockey tournament at one point pre COVID and a gallon of milk was $3.50. It was 2 for $4 here at the time. Soda prices were higher.

I'm thinking, "It is freaking Des Moines. How is milk more here than in Illinois?" Maybe sales volume is the answer.

I spent the weekend in SF for Hardly Strictly this weekend. It was fucking awesome. Took the train up, then rode my bike through SoMa, Hayes Valley, got a burrito that puts La Bamba to shame, some hazy IPA, rode down the panhandle. People were everywhere, old people, young people, having a ton of fun, multiple groups setting up shop just busking on JFK Drive (maybe Noem means a "war on cars" zone now that the road in GG Park is shut to vehicle traffic), someone had a pop up Karaoke stand, kids riding bikes or scooters. I brought my dog to the concert on Sunday.

It was fucking awesome. It's malpractice that Noem and Trump are selling this BS to people who never leave their rural areas that somehow US cities are scenes out of CounterStrike.

Yep, that fixed me right up. Practically overnight on the first day of the dose pack. Getting a shot in the inflamed area...I about punched that old woman. The nurse sprays you with a freezing agent while she goes in with the needle, but the freeze didn't really help. They even wheel out this barrier thing to place between you and them so you can't see what's going on. Aside from getting a thumb nail ripped off, worst pain I've ever felt.

Huh. Yeah, dunno. My son lived right by the arena. We could walk downtown to pretty much anything. Saw the fucking Iowa Cubs as it was like a 15 minute walk. PCA, Mervis, the whole fucking deal lol.

Anyway. Idk. Shit is cheap-ish there. Like, way cheaper than Chicago, and even downstate Illinois.

My best friend once got a terrible case of the gout the day before we met up in New Orleans. He got a shot and the next day was good to go. Which was disappointing because I was totally prepared for the hilarity of pushing him around in a wheel chair in New Orleans.

I drink a decent amount of water in the summer. Especially if I’ve been working out (not a whole lot of working out lately :-/). During the colder months I probably drink very little water.
