That’s a pretty good point. I know people who are about as conservative as you can get, and about as liberal as you can get. The overwhelming majority aren’t going to assassinate somone over politics.

Ask yourself. Could you point a gun at someone and pull the trigger?

The only possible way I could do that if that person were trying to kill me, my family, my countrymen in a war. And I’d still be very bad at it and have massive PTSD.

To kill another human is beyond comprehension for all but the tiniest fraction, no matter how tough they talk.

But boy howdy can that tough talk bring out the crazy in that tiny fraction …

Doesn’t make sense to twist ourselves into a pretzel, trying to  make sense of the shooter.  I don’t think we can assign a clear and consistent ideology to him; it may never be possible.  We’ll just have to wait for more information.  And getting information directly from investigators is far preferable to having it filtered through politicians.

There’s still gotta be a motive to action. He’s crazy isn’t a motive. He killed Kirk specifically for a reason. That reason appears to be related to his roommate’s/partner’s trans situation…

You have proved my point that shows why we are fucked. Why does there have to be a motive? A sane person would only do something because they had a motive. The thing with insanity is that the behaviors we expect because of our own sanity don’t apply… that’s why we don’t understand the insanity - because we are sane. Trying to deduce what motivates someone who’s dysfunctional is pointless

I've tried to be helpful for years.

I'm not sure the left will like what comes of the Kirk assassination.
I don't know if I've ever looked at The Free Beacon and there's no reason for me to post what they have today.
You can look if you want to.

I assume the "source" will be discredited by some here, so I'll do it for them.
