You are blaming the wrong people here. It is Republicans who have held these funds hostage, not Jobu or me, so it is a GOTCHA moment.

And Ashville whatever it is called is the exception. Seems like once a year or every 6 months there is some part of Florida wiped out by storms that are now worse due to climate issues, yet these same people think the climate issues are BS and just keep building in the same places that get wiped out and expect a handout every year.

As for Ukraine, they are fighting the Soviets so we do not have to and shown the Soviets are paper tigers. Plus, we have now seen how drones work in combat and get to see how we have to alter our tactics and tech if we have to fight the Soviets and/or the Chinese or their minions. Yeah, the Chinese. Who are itching to start a war because their economy sucks and they have a bunch of young people sitting around doing nothing but getting pissed off because they don't have job. They have to have them do something before they revolt against their commie overlords.  Have seen it time and time again.

Western NC did in fact, lean towards Biden, by a few percent. That still means that 45%+ of people in Western NC who voted, voted for Trump. This isn't Santa Clara County

Matt Gaetz is a congressman. Marjorie Taylor Greene is a congresswoman. They go and vote to shut everything down. Whatever you say about the people in their districts on an abstract level - they created the monster by shipping those nutballs to congress. And their districts got slammed hard in this storm.

At some point the politicians will figure this out. Ukraine falling would have massive economic implications to the United States, far worse than the pennies we are sending them. And if Ukraine falls, there will be a smaller shit ton of money once the Russians control Ukraine.

Aside from the obvious example of the Ukrainian grain market... Apple is the largest company in the world, so their work does produce a lot of tax revenue. They have hundreds of employees in Ukraine. Those employees contribute to Apple's success, which is mostly enjoyed by US citizens via jobs here - across the spectrum from design to retail and the entire stack including phone accessories, mom and pop repair shops, etc...
