The power companies and their large corporate customers are also driving the grid decarbonization bus in Texas.  It's finally sunk in; climate change is bad for business.

The fact that their grid has had issues (and is untethered to the rest of the country) may be driving this as well.

Definitely.  Need to build more power lines, diversify the energy resources and build resiliency into the grid.  I think they'll get there.
