The Democrats lost the battle, but got their voters involved and excited (see NJ and Virginia elections). And they pushed health care costs into the forefront of the political discussion, which made the GOP victory rather pyrrhic.
Their stance on ACA subsidies illustrates the bear trap they laid for themselves. The difficulty is when Republicans realize they actually have to govern.
Ehh the incumbents are always at a disadvantage. The average voter doesn’t know shit about ACA subsidies. They just know whatever their social media feed is pushing. Which, of course, is Trump fear porn.
ACA is garbage and always has been, and now it’s on Republicans to find a better way, extend it, or further alienate the people the Democrats want to be dependent on taxpayer healthcare.
I have no doubt you’ll be incensed, regardless.
