The winner (by default) is Windows 10. My notebook computer and gaming PC both have Windows 10 installed. I'll admit Microsoft did a pretty good job developing this version of the OS. It's solid, reasonably secure with some tweaks, and gaming is pretty good. This is in line with the every-other-major-Microsoft Windows version is decent (10 good, 8.x sucked, 7 good, Vista sucked, XP good, ME was garbage, 98 good, 95 was terrible...). BlueStacks, an Android emulator, runs well (enough) on Windows 10 so I didn't need to buy a Chromebook to play a couple of Android games on a large monitor.   

I'm also working on a Kodi (Linux based) side project on a previously retired notebook computer. Not really sure why I'm doing this. Perhaps boredom?

I liked 95 better than 98. As I type, I realize that my 95 machines were all in the UIUC Law library, or computer lab. So they probably had sufficient power and RAM. I must have used 98 during my bartending days, because I had a Gateway that could just barely get online and open email.

XP was a revelation. I recorded an entire album on a machine that had a single 128mb DIMM. In general, though, I didn't become a regular user until 2006.

Yeah, on 98 we had a tough time getting it to run correctly once users had watched between 30 and 40 hours of clown porn, which was not a problem on 95. By the time XP rolled out, we had it fixed.

A PC with the minimum required HW specs for running Windows can be a disappointment to the user, especially when running 3rd party programs (which many users tend to do). Since you mentioned XP and 128MB RAM, I thought I'd look up the system requirements. The minimum HW officially needed to run Windows XP (released 9/2001):

233 MHz processor
64 MB RAM
1.5 GB hard drive
800 x 600 resolution screen 

128 MB RAM was recommended for XP. That was some fancy hardware you had back then, lol.

A cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract.  There are more than 200 types of viruses than can cause colds; including coronaviruses.  The most common are rhinoviruses; of which there are about 150 strains.  Developing a vaccine that would protect against that many different pathogens is beyond the current state of science, but will likely happen in the not too distant future. A first step might be something that recognizes and disables rhinoviruses; which account for 50 - 75% of common colds.  Meanwhile, a cold vaccine is not a high priority because the mortality rate is low.
