Let's not forget that the price of oil crashed during the pandemic? Probably a good idea, but our collective attention span is too short and economic IQ is too low. The idiots at Fox are actually crediting Trump for the low prices that threatened the oil industry. At one point, domestic oil was selling at a net loss.
Golf is obviously a troll account, but I was discussing with an actual human, the cost of gas (and everything else).
The price of gas is the price of gas. How you'd judge the people executing policy is based on their policy. The price will move as a function of factors related to policies and external factors.
It could however be argued that Trump would have assisted Putin in just rolling over Ukraine and we'd have no global impact on oil prices from this war.
it really just seems that the people in Congress/Executive branch, and whomever sets agendas at most media outlets are either very stupid or quite duplicitous. There's no in depth discussion of any issue.
It's just "Gas prices up, must be Keystone XL!!!" - because either they believe it, or they figure stupid voters will.
"Inflation up, ZOMG Biden money printing machine!" Then again, the stock market has erased a lot more money than has been printed over the last several months, so why aren't prices actually going *down*?
