I don’t ever recall saying it was “stupid” to move on from Fields. I’ve always said I PREFER the path of continuing to build the roster. I’ve said two dozen times the case to move on from Fields has merit.

Does a QB’s win/loss record count for and against them or not?  Let me know and I’ll make sure to be consistent with that in future arguments.

Feel free to only use Stafford’s first three years in the league, or first 38 starts.  You used Stafford’s whole time in Detroit before when you were making an argument about his record so I was following your lead, but if you want to limit it to his first three seasons that’s fine with me too.

I just want you to be consistent.  If drops count, I want them to count for everyone.  If W/L record is a valuable metric for a quarterback, I want it to be a valuable metric for all quarterbacks.  Argue using consistent logic.  Don’t tell me it’s unfair to hold the W/L record against one guy and not against another guy.

What would Stafford’s value have been year 3 when he had arguably the greatest WR of all-time beginning a virtually unprecedented 3 year stretch of WR play? Probably pretty good.
