Fields likely to need surgery to repair thumb. Likely out 4-6 weeks. Good chance deep ball will be affected so yeah, awesome news…

Fortunately Poles and the staff had the foresight to be prepared for something like this and brought in an undrafted Div 2 QB to take over the rebuild in the short term.
Some have equated his abilities to the injured starting QB.

I feel like this team got so used to losing, they forgot how to win. A lot of that is on the coaching staff, and a lot of it is on Poles. Also on the players.
