About a week ago, I listed a large handful of progressive policies. All of which Biden hasn’t fought for or ignored. The squad is not a significant power broker in his agenda. Only Fox News watchers would think so.

The Squad lost.  They still have influence, but who do think will be leading the Congressional Progressive Caucus in the next round of high-level negotiations on the social safety net bill?  It’s pretty clear that Jayapal came out more powerful than AOC.

And there should be no surprise that BBB received some Republican support.  Though it was ugly, Nancy still knows how to count.

Also, I’m so old that I remember when infrastructure bills were always a huge bipartisan affair, that is until the GOP leaders lost all interest in a functioning government.  Everybody could “smell the meat a cookin’” from miles and miles away.

What is your proposal regarding trucking? Trucks are a problem because of a labor shortage. Gets back into "pay the truckers more"

And sure, we can manufacture some things here, but semiconductors would be pretty low on my list. They aren't very labor intensive and that's not where the value add is, all you really get out of it is dealing with all the chemicals. There are a lot of places in the valley where small fabs are, and they are zoned really nutty because you don't want children anywhere near them.

All the money in semiconductors is in designing the chips or making the machinery that goes into the fabs, that's all done at places I can see out my window, AMAT, KLA Tencor, etc.
