And let’s not forget that Purdy is a complete anomaly. It’s pretty rare to find a day 3 quarterback who can be a legitimate NFL starter.

Brady was too. And no, dipshit, I'm not comparing Purdy to Brady.

It happens. Should teams look for that? Of course not. But it happens.

Limit the upside? What upside? They had a chance to show what that upside might be on Sunday, when they were getting waxed. They elected to run and check down.

We didn't see any upside Sunday.

You can only get quality analysis like this here, folks.

Yes. I’m aware that Brady was a 6th round pick. 23 years ago. As I said. Rare…

This is exactly what you were bitching about late in the game Sunday. Now, you want to insult me when I said basically the same thing.

Well for one, you took a one game sample size and focused on that. A game in which Getsy did not fully utilize Fields’ greatest asset. His legs. When I say upside, I mean long-term. Not a single game.

Nagy did something very similar to Trubisky. “Hey man, that’s awesome that you can make plays with your legs, but stay in the pocket and be the guy I want you to be instead of the guy you are!”

Developing a quarterback is like painting a masterpiece. You do it stroke by stroke. ADDING layers and texture to the subject that you already have.

He didn't use his legs, and he didn't let him throw downfield.

Yeah, fire him, I guess.

Oh you weren’t wrong there. It sucked. All the way around.

I’d like to see another quarterback coach/offensive guru added to the room at least. I’m a Bears junkie and obviously a Justin Fields backer, and I can’t even recall who their quarterback coach is. I’m going to have to look it up.

Andrew Janocko. Yeah, I probably should have remembered that. But why is he virtually invisible? Who has developed?

So, now do you understand why you are a fucking pain in the ass to have a conversation with? That bullshit comment was made, followed by, yeah, you weren't wrong there.

He’s been a QB coach in the NFL two years best I can tell. Spent one year ten years ago as quarterback coach at Mercyhurst. Lol

Can maybe blame this one on the McCaskeys. There HAS to be a better QB coach out there. Poles should be doing everything he can to maximize Fields. I’m not sure Janocko and Getsy are doing that.

Man, I swear.

Again, I thought it odd to look at a one game sample. A game in which the game plan included lots of screens and no designed runs. Your post sounded more like a rant than analysis. But hey, I’m with you. It was bad.

If it was a rant, I give that post a B+.
