Obviously, I would disagree with your last sentence. I’m sure I make too many excuses for Fields, but I’m also sure that’s in response to the people here who literally blame him for everything wrong with the Bears. Even last year. Were you here when PAMan blamed Fields for St. Brown dropping a perfectly thrown ball on 4th down to end the game?

IMO the Bears are probably in the 25 range as far as offensive talent. And I know it’s just “an excuse,” it’s a unit that hasn’t had much of a chance to build cohesiveness until recently. Yes, the first few games were horrible but that was on everyone. Not just Fields.

I appreciate you being honest, I guess, but saying you disagree with the take that the roster/playcalling hasn't been bad enough to "absolve Fields from blame for his own play" is pretty scary to consider.  I thought that was kind of a no brainer, but apparently Fields isn't even accountable for his own play.
