You only discount the performances that contradict your preconception. That's not anything new, we already know that. That's why you discount most of the games Fields has played so far, but take the few games he's played well as gospel. When the results don't match your preconception, you make up an excuse for why. When they do, it was because you were right.
You're still avoiding answering though, because you know acknowledging the truth - that they aren't a very good pass defense - undercuts your "turnaround" takes.
