Because Roy and K have never spoken fondly of their time coaching at Illinois.

And neither have they chosen to leave Illinois for a blue blood where they built a Hall of Fame career and gotten a lifetime contract.

Self is not coming here.  If you’re wanting to send him the text because you think it might make him like us, might make him say something positive about us in the media out of flattery - then sure.

If you’re wanting to send the text because you think there’s a chance Self says “yeah, I’ll come back” then you’re wasting everyone’s time on pure fantasy nonsense.

You never know when I guy might want to downsize. Especially when he’s dealt with federal probes and suspensions. Self has a history here. One he’s spoken fondly of. So yeah, as minute as that chance is, it’s greater than luring Roy or K. JFC

Yes, and again - a drop of rain is more than none at all.  It’s not enough for me to grab my umbrella, though.

The chances that Self comes and coaches here and K comes and coaches here are, within a couple tenths of a percentage point, identical.  Like, neither one of them are coming.

Never once made the case it was at all likely. I’ve wasted too much time on this stupid debate the last 24 hours. Have a great afternoon.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

No, but your entire argument is based on the Dumb and Dumber “so you’re saying there’s a chance” scene.

There are a ton of things we could do, people we could reach out to if the argument is “there’s a non-zero chance”.  There’s a non zero chance of just about anything that’s physically possible.  Wasting time on things where “there’s a non zero chance” is meant as literal, I.e. it’s non zero but practically there is zero chance, seems useless to me.

You may disagree but I’d say there’s a 1-2% chance Self would be receptive. Which is about 1-2% higher than Roy.

Yeah, no.  No wonder you think you're making some reasonable point.

If the idea to text him is borne from the notion that he might say yes to you then you're wasting everybody's time.

You disagree that there’s a 1-2% chance he’d be interested. Congrats, your award for disagreeing on a point neither of us can prove or disprove will be hung in the ladies room. Well done.

There is a ZERO percent chance would ever want to return to Illinois. Because Spark knows people in the industry.

Jobu was far better and more concise than the last 5 pages that proved the point of the dumbass article you linked.
Mark Carman: "The Whitlock!...Caleb Williams failed Wayne Whitlock." Been told I need to take my dick out my mouth so maybe I "wont [sic] sound like such a fucking faggot all the time[.]"

Tempo: "PAMan is a pot stirrer and agent provocateur"

Correct, that's at least 10x too high.

It's ok. He's really angry with me. It's all part of the "that time of the month" process. When the hormones settle down, he will too.

Yeah, this fucking thread has been a wonderful disaster to watch this afternoon. Classic Spark v. Tempo stupidity. This should be appointment Friday afternoon viewing.

I pretty specifically said there wasn't a zero chance, not that - apparently - what I actually say is relevant to you.

What I said was, it's practically zero.  There's some percentage point of a percentage chance he'd say yes, but it's not very much higher than the odds of a Coach K saying yes.  He's not coming here, and if the goal of texting him is thinking "so you're saying there's a chance?" like Lloyd Christmas, then it's probably a waste of time.
