I do not believe that the angst is based SOLELY on tournament results. The guy has the ass during games. He cannot get a PG, despite all the alleged NIL money.  He has tried his gimmick defense twice and had to abandon it. The offense has looked Weber and Groce-ish at times.

Just drop any ole average coach in here and he'd have won 70% of his conference games in the last three years?

I do not agree with that at all.

I think Underwood's lack of winning in March is a legitimate criticism, but to pretend he hasn't done anything any average coach wouldn't have done - I just totally disagree with that.

I think that is part of it, yes. I think Illinois made 2 really, really, really bad hires. I think Underachiever knows how to play the game. Like Lou did at the time.
