Underwood starting Melendez blew up in his face.

That made zero sense. He needs to audition for team manager.
I am a former 5-star general. Or maybe it was 4-star.
Nichi claims a guard with a 1.3 assist-to-TO ratio is a good passer.

Underwood, or Melendez?

🤔

Stems back to when I said Underwood was unlikely to be pursued by Texas, and it seemed to hurt you in the Illini feels pretty good. Apparently PAMan remembers.

RJ had no business being on the court.  It's why Indiana left him open. What is he now 1 for his last 23 3 point attempts.

Sitting in 8th place, tied with Sparty.
And a 2-3, or worse  finish is a distinct possibility.

Agreed.  19-12. 10-10 will get us in.  Albeit a Double digit seed.

Michigan got a big one tonight against Michigan St.  Big tournament should be highly entertaining.

We played hard and almost stole a road conference game against a ranked rival.  TSJ plays and there's a different outcome.  Lotsa hand wringing going here.  I agree with Robbie; no one wants to draw us in tourney.

It's taken us 70 more 3 point shots in conference play to make 3 more than our opponents. 70 shots to score 9 points.
In conference, we're shooting 29% from 3 while the opponents are shooting 35%.
Hawkins at 28%, TSJ at 27%, RJM at 23% and Epps at 22%.
We're last among conference teams for the season in assists/turnovers in NCAA stats. And there are some bad teams below us.

We may be looking at a 9th place finish and a 1st round game vs 1 of the Michigan teams.
I'm not sure anyone is afraid of us.

I'm not sure I've seen any predictions of 9 Big10 teams in the NCAAs.

Why?  Illinois is a bad 3 point shooting team.  Bad at free throws.  Turns the ball over a lot.  And is 2-9 when giving up at least 70 points.

If they had played anything tougher than by far the easiest schedule in the Big 10, they’d already be out of the tourney.

People point to the UCLA and Texas wins.  Texas was a miracle.

Look at the losses:

Down 35 vs Mizzou
Down 24 vs Penn State
Down 17 vs Penn State
Down 21 vs Indiana

The floor is very low for this team.  The ceiling has been grinding out games vs other average or bad teams that can’t score

No team is scared of Brad Ubderwood in the NCAA tourney.  He barely beat Chattanooga last year. Had to escape a buzzer beating miss

I got Michigan St winning, Purdue winning, Rutgers toss-up, but winning with guards, Iowa St winning, Northwestern loses, Maryland wins, Indiana wins, Wisky loses, Iowa loses, Illinois wins but loses to AZ in 2nd round.

Buttgers won't defeat COK in a first-round game. Too much Oscar. Although it would be fun to see COK get bounced again in the first round.

Fair point, I think they win, simply because they have talented AND experienced guards and several of them...NCAA success there. Besides their big guy may have something to say about it as well/.
