They were going to have to open their books. They did not want the "rank and file" to know what they were doing with all the money.

And this. Fucking criminal fucks just like they accused the Saudi’s of. Not saying the Saudi’s aren’t, but at least they don’t try to hide it…
Because FOX News told me so…

Or the IRS.  Anyone else think that taking a hard look at "non-profits" is a good idea?  Put those agents to work sleepy Joe!

This. Tempo talks about their principles… until they reap the money. Fuck those hypocrites. At least golfers like Koepka, Mickelson, and others didn’t fucking bullshit people. They took the money and don’t look like fucking idiots/hypocrites/woke fucktards now.

I can’t speak for 200 hundred players on the PGA Tour. Only myself. I know most of them don’t view the issue exactly the same way I do.

Oh shut up Rory, you’ll take the dirty money too…

Lol. Typical Trumptard like response from JJ. Again, most players weren’t refusing the money on “moral grounds.” I’m not sure I heard any one but Brandel Chamblee or Eamon Lynch (non players) go all the way out on that limb.

I did not follow this. But what reasons were there for them not following the money?

Loyalty to the PGA Tour, which gave them the platform to be as successful as they are. Legacy. I guarandamntee you Jon Rahm stayed because he cares about legacy. Not money. Same with Tiger. If any player went hard after LIV on moral grounds I missed it. And I’m the biggest PGA fan here, probably by a wide margin.

Not saying the implications weren’t there, they were; but I’m not sure I heard one player mention Jamal Khashoggi, for example. Other than Phil, who’d already joined LIV. I believe Phil mentioned him when he called the Saudis “Scary M’fers,” despite holding his hand out for the money.

I guess Rory did mention Khashoggi (once at least anyway). But I think they were careful not go too hard on moral grounds, which disappoints me actually. I wish PGA Tour players had been more vocal about the human rights’ issues.

“Take the Khashoggi situation,” he said. “We all agree that’s reprehensible. Nobody is going to argue that fact.”

They are golfers. Maybe you expect too much from people who play a non-team sport?

Replace “expect” with “hope for.” Again, I’ve been stating why they wouldn’t leave the tour. Because it’s their job and it’s by far the best place to perform their job. I’d “hope” for more harsh criticism of LIV, but I can understand why they would be careful in those waters. I don’t like it, but I get it.

Fair enough.

At at the end of the day LIV players are people they’ve called friends and fellow Tour pros for 2, 5, 10, 15 years.
