Yes. But I also expected the Bear to go out there and play hard against the Lion and they didn't. Which I think was Mn's point.

Yes, the only one that matters to me is the championship. But I would think this game mattered to the kids and the coaching staff as they prep for next year.

Never said they don’t matter to the kids. By your standard, you’d be happy just playing hard and maybe winning an NCAA game then bowing out. That clearly isn’t the standard you expect.

The point is, no one remembers or particularly cares who wins 2nd tier bowl games. It’s a feel good in the moment thing. No one shits their pants when the defending Reliaquest Bowl champion comes to town.
