You, on the other hand are completely unreasonable. You spout meatheaded takes constantly and show zero consistency. You have the most random and subjective methods of “logic,” I’ve probably ever encountered in sports “debate.”

This is actually the best part. Betting Custard enjoys this if he reads it.

I'm not offended. Merely pointing out your purported lack of fandom based on your own spaghetti brained logic. Of course you are too dimwitted to understand that.

You might have to explain that one better.

Custard is a meatball (not total but considerable) who likes to paint himself as objective. He literally doesn’t follow the Bears because “McCaskeys.” That’s about as meatball as it gets. Literally every other heritage franchise has been about equally inept (or worse) minus the Steelers.

And that’s not an endorsement of the McCaskeys. Their overall history is quite bad. But they aren’t meddling in day to day football operations anymore and aren’t the super tightwads they used to be.

“Tempo loves the McCaskeys” will become the new “Tempo loves Reggie Theus” I’m sure.

I am an Illini grad (and fan, but mostly basketball these days). As we grow older we have choices to make and tbh I don’t even watch college sports anymore outside of Illinois basketball and maybe a little Illini football if they are interesting. I still want both to do well and be well represented (with class). I’m not sure either of our coaches is considered a paradigm of class, but they probably aren’t as bad as I’ve believed they were. I’ll own that. You rarely hear me badmouth Underwood and/or Bielema these days. As in pretty much never. They’re doing overall excellent jobs, and I’ve had no problems with their conduct in the past year or more. Again, literally the only college sports I watch these days is the Illini. I bet I haven’t watched the national title game in football more than twice in ten years.

I still like to watch the NCAA Tournament. But that’s 98% of my non-Illini watching these days. I have zero clue who #1 in the country is right now. Don’t really care that much.

Merry Christmas PAMan. I don’t think you’re a bad guy. Just not very reasonable. And a pot (shit) stirrer.

I’ve stirred a few shits myself.

A lot to unpack here. What’s funny is you still expect “wins” out of a roster that’s clearly been stripped bare (of what little they did have). No one in their right mind thinks this roster is built to win games. “Look like an NFL quarterback.” To whom? You? A lot of people (who know a lot more about football than you do say he’s the league’s next big star. I’m sorry it doesn’t look the way YOU WANT it to.

I said I would not go to THAT game without a limo and amenities. At the time I said that -20 temps 30 mph winds with potential whiteout conditions were forecasted. Who can blame someone for not being interested in going to that particular game?

I generally own my “Ls.” I eventually admitted I went too far in calling a Bielema “trash,” but let’s not pretend he was a popular hire when he first was announced. Just about everyone made fun of him. Including you. You trash Underwood constantly. Way more than I do. “Underachiever.” I can’t really remember when I last criticized Underwood to be honest. I think he’s done an overall excellent job here. I don’t care for the angry white guy routine, but it seems to me he’s calmed down on that.

You, on the other hand are completely unreasonable. You spout meatheaded takes constantly and show zero consistency. You have the most random and subjective methods of “logic,” I’ve probably ever encountered in sports “debate.” You are virtually incapable of doing anything but blaming Justin Fields for the Bears’ failures. The kid was literally set up to fail. He’s the least supported quarterback in the league and it’s not particularly close. That’s why Poles had to overpay for Claypool. After watching Fields ball out (I get it, not the way PAMan likes) Poles would have looked derelict in not trying to get the kid some more help. Your sports takes are laughable, particularly your football ones.

Despite the fact that the offensive line flat out can’t pass block, the WRs are practice squad caliber, and we have a conservative defensive-minded head coach who surely knows the best way to help an overmatched defense is to run the ball (something the Bears are excellent at btw), you still point the finger and Fields and only Fields for Getsy’s unwillingness to call more passes. You are an unreasonable clown. I’ve admitted many many times Fields is not where we’d all like him to be as a passer yet, but you are also unwilling to admit he’s gotten better (which isn’t even debatable).

You literally blamed Fields for a 4th down 4th quarter drop by EQ St. Brown (he dropped it because he didn’t expect Fields to hit him in the hands). You are utterly ridiculous and not even remotely reasonable.

Merry Christmas. 🎄

Just remember this is the guy who for weeks said you molested your own daughter.

Yeah, I’m still a little upset about this.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one with no interest in going to Saturday’s game. Six minutes before kickoff and the place looked about 20% full max.
