As the hearing was still in session, Rolling Stone reported that Trump’s demand to take down Teigen’s tweet was “hardly an isolated incident.” According to former Trump officials and Twitter staffers, prominent Republicans and the ex-president routinely asked the company to remove posts—the same behavior they’re now insisting shows Democrats and Twitter conspired to silence conservatives and restrict their free speech.

For some reason, none of this has been revealed in the many editions of Musk’s “Twitter Files,” which have almost entirely concentrated on communications sent by Democrats and government agencies to Twitter.

If an individual wants to request Twitter take down a tweet that is directed at them, I suppose they should have that right. It may not be approved, but that's a different kettle of fish.

If the government or other actor gets involved in the request, that's also a different kettle of fish.
And Taibbi's write-up from 2 months ago clearly indicated that there were requests from Trump. This is nothing new.

I agree that purely petty personal requests are different than requests from law enforcement or intelligence agencies.

And true, good luck finding something from the government to Twitter, Facebook or whoever in black and white that says "you are compelled".

And I'm not sure your linked article says anything other than an attempt to justify for their work.
