Effort and attitude are fair to critique at any point. Lamenting 3-4 missed free throws in a 30 point win on opening night is kind of silly.

Too bad it was not 3 to 4 missed Free Shots opening night. That would be a different story.

As it should be. Guy is a gamer and should've been offered here more aggressively. Kind of like Rice, but the next level up.

Shannon is one of the more athletic talented wings we have ever had here without question. We have plenty of guys to arrange around him, but it will take time to develop roles and chemistry.

There will be growing pains but I like this team.

I believe the Monmouth University Hawks from West Long Branch, New Jersey are D-1. You might be  thinking of the Monmouth College Fighting Scots from Monmouth IL?

The Monmouth we played kinda sucks. They were 4th in the MAAC last year and have maybe 1 player who could crack our team.

Still, it's nice to just beat the living hell out of teams like that. See also, the time we lost to Tennessee Tech and the time Chicago State gave us a game to the buzzer.
