Looks just the same as Tuesday. Person shot going through a window, cop hit with fire extinguisher and dying, people stealing lecturns and documents. Completely the same. (Not that I support what happened then.)
If you look at say, the protests in Wisconsin over Walker - the people in the Wisconsin Capitol that way entered the Capitol by going through the metal detectors, in an orderly line, and got in and sang some Kumbaya for a couple weeks. They weren't arrested because they weren't breaking any laws.
There have been plenty of crazy ass MAGA protests that were handled similarly, and while I might say that those people are nuts, if they were lawful, well, then go have your fun. For example all the nutballs who have been spending time recreating in the Michigan statehouse. None of them got arrested, nor should they have been Whitmer addressed it, wasn't particularly supportive of it, but they didn't round them up and haul them away, and neither did Scott Walker who threw plenty of shade on the people in Wisconsin.
The US Capitol was not open to the public on Wednesday.
