I suppose the NBA could build a Plexiglas dome over the court, and ventilate it with a separate HVAC system. Then, you could invite all the local MAGAts to come fill up the stands.

It might be hard to get them to cheer for a group of woke, predominantly black performers. Maybe tell them it's just a warm-up for a Trump rally?

Custard has been right that tv ratings have been.down nationally for all sports. One caveat is that until last week, all the big sports were being played simultaneously along with golf and NASCAR. Even the golf and Kentucky Derby numbers were down big too, so I'm not sure if it is all politics. The NFL still leads the pack and  NBCSN had its best September ever due to the Stanley Cup playoffs.

I've heard that the Sox ratings were up locally. The Cub games appeared to put WSCR back into the top 10 for evenings based on the last ratings I saw from Feder. Have no clue what Marquee Network's number looked like.

One oddity is that 2020 has revitalized the game of golf. Courses are reporting their strongest year in ages. Play is through the roof and the secondhand club market is red hot because the manufacturers are so far behind on orders for new clubs. Sports equipment resale shops are selling sets before they can get them hung on the wall. Even equipment that is several generations old is fetching a premium price.

No if anything there have been fewer deals and specials because demand is so high. I think the primary reason is that it has been one of the few things people could actually go safely do with their friends during the pandemic when all the other sports were shut down.

Can’t barely get on a municipal course here in Florida because its full of idiots who play slow and don’t have any etiquette. At the country club I’m a member of our Sunday group teed off at 8 am yesterday and someone had already driven their cart through a bunker and across the green on 2. On the bright side our club is going to turn a profit for the first time since 2015 .

Well, Trump may have gotten COVID but at least his club is going to turn a profit for the first time in his Presidency thanks to his leadership on the virus.
