Do we know if Alito and his family actually vacated their residence?

And when discussing the propriety of protesting outside of supreme court justices' homes, it's important to remember that in the 90s the court held that protesting outside of the homes of "abortion clinic employees" is protected by the first amendment.

which is completely different than protesting at a supreme court justice's personal residence kike bot

We'll just skip the law on the books regarding the Justices homes for now.

But they have a statue abrogating the 1st Amendment that protects them, while they are also not accountable to voters (which is a good thing overall).

I don't think a statue can do that.

There are no “tiers” of free speech the 1st amendment protects based on one’s occupational standing.  As long as demonstrators are not threatening, loud or damaging property and go home by 10PM, they should be allowed to do this.

Having said that, I would agree that protesting in front of the justices’ homes should be taboo.  But the Supreme Court building should be picketed loudly.  Every day.

I agree. Not sure the tactics will backfire though,  as I think, as of now,  the economy will be the driving factor in the mid terms,  not that there is much anyone in the government can do about baby formula shortages.

Congress writes law. Go picket them if you're so inclined.
SCOTUS can make decisions that affect both sides of the aisle and special interest groups. Protesting at justices homes every time they say something or make a ruling doesn't sound like such a hot idea.
Hurt feelings don't cut it.

Would not have this issue if the Dems had just hired the Italians to help them cheat at elections much earlier than 2020.

I think a draconian ruling will energize part of the D voting base and some independents.

However, if the D message in November is standing up to a radical right agenda vs. the economy, it's going to be a rout.   When we run on morality, we lose and rightfully so.

I doubt that the statute applies in a constitutional law issue case. Look at the intent part.  Obstruction of justice clearly does not apply.

Intent to influence a judge might apply. However, I tend to think this is mainly about using crowds to intimidate judges and juries in cases not involving issue advocacy.

I think there have been  protests at court houses when there are cases  involving gun rights and the death penalty?

I don't know about that... what about promoting having more abortions?

Maybe I am naive, but it should not be hard to sell the following:

Most of the current Inflation is directly and indirectly due to Covid. In response to the lock downs and closures, the previous administration passed the CARES ACT. This current administration passed the American Recovery Act. These acts helped prevent economic chaos.

One unfortunate side effect was an increase in core inflation from 2% to 5%. However, the alternative, deflation, would have been far worse and more difficult to overcome.

Of course, the consumer price index, or CPI is running about 8.5%. The CPI differs from core inflation because it includes commodities that fluctuate in price with the market.

Much of the higher number is still due to the pandemic related international supply chain bottlenecks.  These are still being worked out and were further aggravated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Some cynical people are actually blaming the American Recovery Act for inflation. If only people were poor enough; there would be less demand,  supply problems wouldn't matter,  and prices should be lower. Shame on them.
