I don't feel locked down. I go to Berkot's, the Bank, CVS, Aldi's, Walmart, Farm & Fleet, Meier, Menard's, Lowe's. the Clinic and the Hospital.  The only thing missing is going out to eat. Wearing a mask and getting my temperature taken is weird, but lock down?

The wingnuts keep claiming Sweden did not "lock down," but they canceled large events just like us. The only difference was they kept the pubs and restaurants open, with strict rules about  social distancing.

I watched most of it and the focus was the negative impact on younger to middle aged people of lower and working classes rather than retired people who don’t have much in the way of active social lives.

Besides missing the point, you actually bring up some interesting thoughts. The point is, what does "locked down" mean? The only apparent difference between us and Sweden was they kept the pubs and restaurants open, with strict rules about  social distancing.
So, fifty-ish years ago, I would have missed bar-hopping, dining out, and going to movies. Would I have considered that locked down? I dunno.

Chris Hayes put it well. College Dorms are basically cruise ships with crappier food and worse hygiene. They need to show cruise ship horror porn to these kids.

Let them have a day or two to get some tinder going, pick one partner, get a COVID test, move in with that person, and do zoom classes and have sex. done.
