Millions of Americans don’t have passports. Millions don’t have easy access to their birth certificates. Replacing them costs money, time, and navigating government offices.
Voting is supposed to be easy for citizens, not a paperwork scavenger hunt.

Black people are just as capable of missing the point as white people.

Strict Voter ID is a solution in search of a problem. We don't have a problem with voter fraud.  So why do we need the SAVE Act?

Jim.Crow laws used poll taxes and literacy tests to make it more difficult to vote. Poor whites were protected by grandfather clauses; a man was eligible to vote if his father or grandfather had been eligible to vote before the Civil War. So it disproportionately affected blacks.

The SAVE Act is like a new Jim Crow law because it makes it more difficult to vote, and disproportionately affects the elderly, poor, disabled...

News flash.  Dude doesn't even get that his driver's license won't enable him to vote.  Can you imagine what poll workers will be going thru explaining this on election day?  As has been said, a solution in search of a problem, page 1 of the Elephant handbook.  Besides the ID smokescreen, the biggest issue with this bill is the Feds getting all the voter info that they can't currently access.  How's that sit with all you deep staters?  The Founding Fathers would not approve.

I'm guessing you're not getting tariff refunds and unless you have to register to vote the SAVE Act won't impact you.
