Fascinating… and YOU (more so than the President and military intelligence) know this how exactly?! 🤔

Rahul Gupta, who served as director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy in the Biden administration, said most of the trafficking boats in the Caribbean are carrying cocaine bound for Europe, and the people on board tend to be young and desperate for work.

“They’re recruiting young people, impressionable young people, so they can do these runs for $100, $500, $1,000 back and forth,” Gupta said.

The drug runners at sea are often between 15 and 24 years old and the cartel leadership views them as expendable, Gupta said. For the cartels, “there is no message being sent because they really don’t care about these people,” he said.

One of those "brown-skinned immigrants" was just sentenced here. The entered during the Biden presidency illegal immigrant killed 2 people. Somehow 7 years is enough for drunk driving and on his phone at 8:45am. Taxpayers will fund his incarceration until his release and deportation.

Thanks Joe

I don't give a rat's ass what Rahul Gupta has to say. And what he is saying, other than the comment that cartels consider people expendable, is totally irrelevant.
Good job on the drug trade during your tenure, Rahul. Maybe sit this one out.

Key elements of fascism include nationalism, populism, and scapegoating..

AI Overview

Yes, extreme nationalism, populism (specifically "selective populism"), and scapegoating are widely recognized by scholars as key, common elements of fascism. These elements often work in conjunction with other tactics to create a mass movement and seize power.

Drawing on analysis from historians and scholars like Robert Paxton, Umberto Eco, and Jason Stanley, other prominent elements typically include:

Authoritarianism and Dictatorship: A rejection of liberal democracy in favor of a single-party state led by a charismatic "Leader" who claims to embody the will of the people.

Militarism and Glorification of Violence: An emphasis on military strength and the belief that violence can be redemptive or necessary to achieve national goals.

Hierarchy and Anti-Egalitarianism: The promotion of a "natural" social hierarchy and the rejection of equality, often tied to ideas of racial or national superiority.

Propaganda and Anti-Intellectualism: The use of mass media control and attacks on education, science, and the arts to suppress critical thinking and promote the regime's narrative.

Obsession with a Mythic Past: A focus on a glorified, fictionalized national history to make people dissatisfied with the present and justify a "national rebirth".

Fear of Difference: Exploiting xenophobia, racism, and social anxieties to unify the "in-group" against marginalized or "alien" groups (e.g., immigrants, political opponents, minorities).

These elements are often seen as part of a dynamic process rather than a static ideology, adapting to local contexts and driven by shared "mobilizing passions" like a sense of victimhood or national decline.

Multiple investigations concluded that the Russians interfered in the 2016 election on behalf of Trump in an unprecedented manner to an extreme extent. This was not business as usual, they all do it all the time.

AI Overview:

Neither the official U.S. government investigations nor subsequent reporting has produced evidence that Donald Trump was a knowing or "recruited and controlled" Russian agent.

However, multiple investigations, journalistic accounts, and former intelligence officers have highlighted extensive ties between Trump associates and Russia-linked individuals, the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 election to benefit Trump, and a pattern of behavior and policy decisions by Trump that often aligned with Russian interests.

Key Findings from Official Investigations

Mueller Report: The Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation concluded in 2019 that while the Russian government interfered in the 2016 election in "sweeping and systematic fashion," it "did not establish or disprove  that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities" in a criminal sense.

Senate Intelligence Committee Report: A bipartisan Senate report released in 2020 affirmed that Russia engaged in an "extensive campaign" to sabotage the election. It detailed that Trump associates, including Paul Manafort, had regular contact with individuals tied to Russian intelligence and that the campaign expected to benefit from the Kremlin's help, but the report also stopped short of proving a criminal conspiracy.

Intelligence Community Assessment: The U.S. intelligence community has consistently maintained that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a campaign to interfere in the 2016 election with the goal of helping Trump win.

Other Evidence and Allegations

Circumstantial Evidence: Pundits, former intelligence officers, and some authors argue that while no "smoking gun" proves Trump was a formal agent, a pattern of circumstantial evidence suggests he has been a long-term "useful asset" (someone whose actions align with a foreign power's goals, even if not explicitly directed).

Contacts and Cover-ups: Reports documented hundreds of contacts between Trump associates and Russian nationals or intermediaries during the 2016 campaign and transition period, many of which were not initially reported to authorities.

Policy and Rhetoric: Critics point to Trump's public praise for Putin, his questioning of the U.S. intelligence community's findings on Russian interference, and specific policy decisions (such as delaying military aid to Ukraine) as evidence that his actions consistently favored Russian interests, which some view as a functional form of being an asset.

Financial Ties: Trump has a history of business dealings involving Russian interests, including a $95 million real estate sale in 2008 to a Russian billionaire.

In summary, the official investigations did not find evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. However, the comprehensive evidence of Russian interference, extensive contacts by Trump's team, and Trump's behavior and policy choices have led some analysts and political figures to assert that he functioned, wittingly or unwittingly, as a Russian asset.
Obama's national security agencies had nothing on a preference, you can read about it here someplace, until Obama told them in Dec 2016, after the election, 'Not good enough. Rewrite it.'

Newsflash. Russia tries to interfere in every election. Some 🙋 may say that England interfered in the election. And Igor Danchenko's Russian bar buddies were useful idiots also, but they obviously didn't favor Trump.

National Security Agency reports up until Nov 2016, the ones that actually should mean something, say that Russia did not have a preference. Obama appears to have directed the change in the reports in early Dec 2016 to fit undermining the President-elect. The change was necessary because Hillary lost the 2016 election.

I assume that all of the drug boat ranting is a result of the Nov 18 video that Slotkin, Kelly, DeLuzio, Goodlander, Houlahan and Crow did on Nov 18 suggesting that members of the military should disobey the chain of command over an unnamed to this date order.

The media kindly chimed in and everybody got to go on tv and not mention that there are processes in place for a member of the military who may disagree with a specified order.

Obama appears to have directed the change in the reports in early Dec 2016 to fit undermining the President-elect. The change was necessary because Hillary lost the 2016 election.

AI Overview

Official U.S. intelligence community assessments have consistently concluded that Russia interfered in the 2016 election with the goal of helping Donald Trump win and harming Hillary Clinton's campaign. These conclusions have been supported by multiple, bipartisan congressional investigations since 2016.

Key findings and timelines regarding the intelligence reports:

October 2016 Statement: In an October 7, 2016, joint statement, the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence formally accused the Russian government of being behind the hacks and leaks of Democratic emails. The statement did not, however, make a public assessment of Russia's specific preference for a candidate.

January 2017 Declassified Assessment: A declassified report, the "Intelligence Community Assessment" (ICA), was released in January 2017. It concluded with high confidence (for CIA and FBI; moderate confidence for NSA) that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a campaign to influence the election, undermine faith in the democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and developed a "clear preference" for President-elect Trump.

Post-Election Reviews: The ICA was requested by President Obama after the November election, in December 2016. Subsequent reviews, including a 2020 internal CIA review, noted the ICA was produced on an unusually compressed timeline. This review found some analytic disagreements among analysts during the process, specifically that two analysts thought the evidence for the "aspired to help Trump" judgment was mainly from a single source, but the review did not dispute the final conclusion.

Congressional Confirmation: The Senate Intelligence Committee's extensive, bipartisan five-volume report confirmed the ICA's findings, concluding that the analysis was well-supported by all-source intelligence and that analysts were not pressured politically to reach specific conclusions.

Allegations that the reports were changed due to political pressure to undermine the President-elect have been investigated by congressional committees and other review processes. These investigations ultimately affirmed the intelligence community's findings and tradecraft.

AI Overview

As the current Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard asserts that the narrative of Russian interference in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win was a "manufactured" hoax and a "treasonous conspiracy" orchestrated by the Obama administration. She claims the intelligence was politicized to undermine Trump's presidency.

Gabbard's Claims and Actions

Declassified Documents: Gabbard's office released several batches of declassified documents in July 2025, which she claims provide "irrefutable evidence" that Obama-era officials knowingly created a false intelligence community assessment (ICA).

Core Allegation: She argues that while officials knew Russia likely did not use cyber means to manipulate actual voting machines or change vote tallies, they conflated this with a broader interference narrative (social media influence, DNC hacks, etc.) to falsely claim the election outcome was influenced.

Criminal Referral: Gabbard referred former President Obama, along with former intelligence officials James Comey, John Brennan, and James Clapper, to the Department of Justice for potential criminal prosecution, alleging they engaged in a "years-long coup" against Trump.

Whistleblower Testimony: She presented an account from a senior intelligence official who claimed they were threatened and ignored when attempting to expose the alleged manipulation and manufacturing of intelligence used in the ICA.

Counterarguments and Context

Intelligence Community Consensus: Multiple investigations, including a three-year bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee review, concluded that Russia did interfere in the 2016 election through various methods (hack-and-leak campaigns, propaganda, etc.) and preferred Trump's candidacy. The reviews found no evidence of political pressure to alter the findings.

Conflation of Issues: Critics, including former intelligence officials and media outlets, argue that Gabbard's claims rely on a "red herring" by conflating Russian efforts to hack voting infrastructure (which were minimal and did not change votes) with the actual, multifaceted influence campaign. The ICA focused on the latter.

Lack of New Evidence: Experts note that the documents Gabbard released do not contain new, independently corroborated facts and mostly rehash internal disagreements about analytic nuances that have been previously addressed in other reports.

Political Motivation: Gabbard's actions are widely viewed by critics as politically motivated, designed to erode the consensus that interference occurred and support Donald Trump's narrative that the entire affair was a "hoax".

The Department of Justice is currently assessing Gabbard's criminal referral.

Good job on the drug trade during your tenure, Rahul. Maybe sit this one out.

The most deadly increase in the fentanyl crisis grew during the first Trump Presidency.

Wave 4 (Around 2015 - present): A more recent "fourth wave" involves polysubstance use, where fentanyl is increasingly mixed with other drugs like stimulants (methamphetamine and cocaine), often unknowingly by the user.
