Nice attempt to completely the subject. What he was referring to is obvious from the context. he used the words voting on it. What was it? "It" was the budget bill. Period.

He also talked about flipping the house and gaining Senate seats in 2018.

They wanted  NY  reps to either change how they voted on "it" or face the consequences in 2026.

That is why he voted to keep the government open. They needed more time to cut into Trump's approval, to gain leverage.

It wasn't me that tried to put words in his mouth.

What are "consequences" that he didn't explain ?
Are they similar to the consequences that Kavanaugh faced ? Trump ?

Read the damn transcript. He talked about it. Hint: For house members it happens every two years.

i have no idea what Kavanaugh has to with it, but no, he didn't face a midterm re-election.
