Murph saying abortion didn't matter despite pro-choice measures outpolling Harris wherever it was on the ballot.

The fact is Americ hates California progressives (which she ran as in 2020) as much as it hates Massachusetts liberals. But keep on claiming Hispanic and Black men only voted for Trump because of the price of your artisian butter.

Oh, didn't the progressive shithead lose her Mayor postion in SF to a moderate that is going to clean up the dope peddling and call for criminal scum to be locked up?

I’ve said it many times, and Ive said it here multiple times; Republican voters are right to be angry. But their anger is misdirected IMO. They spend too much time worrying about penises, uteruses, gay sex, bathrooms, pronouns, vegetable pickers, and Mr. Potato Head; instead of focusing on the actual problem with big media (that it’s like 90% owned by 6 corporations), and their job is keep the middle and working classes divided for the benefit of the ultra-rich. And they’re fantastic at it, because 50% of America runs right for the squirrel every time.

Polled individually and in a straight forward manor, progressive dinner table policies are popular among the general populace.

Sure, Trump is a finger in the eye to the establishment, but the real power lies with the public; and they are too divided and stupid to wield it because penis (squirrel!).

I'm sorry, but this election was not just about your grievances.  Pronouns, transgender issues, DEI and California progressives didn't matter to the vast majority of working class and minority voters that went for Trump.  And neither did abortion.

What swayed these folks was the perception that the economy was poor.  Trump's campaign understood this and developed a very smart, targeted economic message for this group.  He deserves credit for doing this.

Bidenomics may look good on paper, but not in the grocery aisles.  The economy wasn't working for these people.  Many are struggling to buy a starter house.  Meanwhile, their rents have increased.

These voters were angry and took it out on the party in power.  It made a difference in the swing states. We've seen this story play out in other presidential elections. 

I don't blame this group for voting for Trump.  I blame Harris and other Democrats for not making "bead-and-butter" economic issues a higher priority.  This was foreseeable.

It is readily apparent that many see Ilhan Omar as the face of the Democratic party and not people that can win in Red or Purple states like Shapiro, Bashear, Whitmer, Stein... You know... Abortion didn't matter as a single issue topic for a Presidential vote - you are making my point. Because people think they can just vote against abortion restrictions in their state, it doesn't matter from an abortion standpoint who is the President. I spelled that out very clearly.

The progressive shithead running for Mayor in SF was Aaron Peskin. He finished a distant 3rd. The moderate was Mark Farrell who finished 4th. Breed and Lurie aren't particularly different, but there is definitely novelty in electing Mayors who aren't from the political machine - Peskin, Farrell, and Breed were all City Supervisors

Dan Lurie on the other hand is not from the machine. His resume includes "Heir" and "Philanthropist" and that's pretty much it. The most notable thing he's done from a career standpoint is "Led the San Francisco Super Bowl Bid Committee"

I'm not saying he'll do a bad job, but it's definitely a metaphor for America circa 2024.

Clover is gigantic dairy operation, their organic butter isn't particularly more expensive than any other butter around here unless you go real downscale into some CAFO butter like product from who knows where that you'd have to get at probably some local hispanic market. Costco imports their butter from New Zealand - I'm a patriot and buy American butter.

If I were to go to a farmer's market and buy from an individual pasture raised organic operation, it would probably be 25% more expensive than Clover, which is carried at Safeway. Shit is just expensive in the Bay Area. If your argument that Biden printing money caused inflation - so does Tim Cook, Surinder Pinchai, Mark Zuckerberg and Jensen Huang printing money.

Inflation is down. Jerome Powell hates lowering rates yet he did another quarter point decrease yesterday.

Prices aren't down. They won't come down. Trump caused inflation - which was noted in the first couple of years of Biden's presidency, prices went up, then when Biden or Powell or gravity reduced inflation - it doesn't matter, dp/dt can go to zero but p(t) is still greater than p(t-2). The only way Trump can lower prices is by causing deflation, which is a recession, and he'll be in a pickle then until he blames Hillary Clinton for the recession and his cult says LOCK HER UP.

But we're probably going to see inflation tick back up.

The stock market has gone up this week, but so has the *bond market*. Despite Powell lowering the fed funds rate, the ten year note and mortgage rates are going *up*, not down. The big money is moving out of bonds and into stocks - inflation inflates everything and one of those things is stock prices. Tariffs would make it worse, we'll see on that one.

May you live in interesting times. frankly none of this might have had anything to do with politicians. Might just be that global population has gotten large enough and throw in a dose of climate change throwing some fires and hurricanes, and it's just gonna be a lot harder than 30 years ago.
