These are private organizations. Unless you're a goddamn commie, they can do what they want. Just like any business, if they do a bad job, they go out of business.

There was no ideal plug and play candidate and they were backed into a corner with perhaps alienating people by not going with Kamala, but yes it felt very low effort and the campaign was very cowardly. They played not to lose and boy did they lose. Look at the push that Trump made the last week with the trio of appearances on Rogan. She had a shitty town hall and some poorly attended rallies. Walz is a dud and did her no favors.

well whatever. Trump loves the stock market too much to screw with us or Apple. My prediction is that he - at Musk's direction - slaps big tariffs on any components for internal combustion engines or transmissions and prances around saying "we need to save jobs in Ohio by bringing catalytic back to Michigan. Drr!!!" torpedoing GM and Ford along with the manufacturers of their parts.

I thought Walz would be a much bigger asset. That did not materialize. I hope he can rehab himself as a national candidate at a later time.
