Just to clarify that the Colorado lawsuit was initiated by Republicans based on the 14th amendment interpretation by members of the Federalist Society.

Looks like the "privileged few on the left" included some Republicans in Maine.  Trump's eligibility faced three challenges, including one group made up of three Republican and Democratic former state senators.

Colorado was so mad that they decided to certify Trump votes now that Maine has stepped forward.
And Maine says they're mad enough not to do anything until SCOTUS steps forward.

Nonetheless, the issue here is there has been no trial, or evidentiary hearings, in these specific proceedings. Not sure how you can disqualify him without that formality, as we know the bastard is just as guilty as that fuck Robert E. Lee. Maybe we can turn Mar-A-Lago into a disabled veterans' home ala Arlington National Cemetary was put on Lee's confiscated property.

Both states allow voters to challenge the eligibility of a presidential candidate to appear on the ballot. The CO Court and Maine SOS did not take action on their own.  They were responding to challenges filed by several groups of voters.
