You get 3.25 of every four years to work on that, and .75 of every four years to just make the best choice available.
If we do a better job in those 3.25, then the .75 will have better options. If we don't, that's our fault and we shouldn't bitch, we should be ready for the next chance.
Precisely. Except almost nothing is being done in the 3.25 years to either hold the two parties to a higher standard or introduce a legitimate third party that will put enough competitive pressure on the other two to drive meaningful change.
In 2016 at least alternative party candidates were in the conversation. Four years later you’d think that the hurt, disappointment and sheer insanity that’s taken place would have ignited the 60 or so percent that don’t approve of Trump to do everything possible to avoid another 2016 outcome.

I mean hell they CANCELLED SPORTS and people still underparticipated in the political process last winter and spring. If people held politics to the same standard with the same passion that they do their sports teams maybe we’d have something.
